Formula values not updating excel
I had this problem with a specific spreadsheet, and it was fixed by saving as a copy in xls format, then opening the xls in libreoffice and saving as again.Maybe "save as a copy" would also work saving in directly, but i didn't tested it.When entering numerical data in Excel, it helps to format it according to the type of data it is. percentage, currency, date, or text—helps drive consistency and accuracy in displaying and working with your data.If you know from the get-go what format your data should be in, it’s relatively simple to choose a number format for the entire column before entering your data. The following code will successfully replace the data in NAMEDRANGE with the contents of Mydata.A formula in another sheet points to a cell in NAMEDRANGE, and I would expect it to reflect the changes made in NAMEDRANGE after opening the workbook.Instead, the formula will reference the last "unupdated" value.
So instead lets roll up our sleeves and find out the reason for this mishap. My mission is to make you awesome in Excel & your work. When I am not F9ing my formulas, I cycle, cook or play lego with my kids.
When you set the cell formatting to “Text”, Excel treats the formula as text and shows it instead of evaluating it.
To fix this error, just select the cell, set its formatting to “General”. (Alternatively you can press F2 and then Enter after setting format to General).
But if I edit D2 and I press SPACE (so I modify the D2 VALUE ) Calc can calculate the good value.
F9 works but I think I should not have to use F9 all the time.
