Updating a jframe

The Frame appears to be "Frozen" after I pressed the button.

Dear All, I would like to change the content pane after pressing a button by the method : Content Pane(newc Content Pane); However, I find that it doesn't work.

All, I've run into something of a stumbling block, no doubt due to the fact that I haven't used Swing in a while.

Anyway, I'm actually writing a small applet program, although I've also included a "main" so I can test it from the command line without a browser.

Data is transited through public static variables of the main class. If you want help, you'll have to provide an SSCCE that demonstrates what you're actually doing. You might want to look at the paint Immediately() method, or ... Erm basically i have a Jframe and when a button is pushed a picture moves from one side of the JFrame to the other and then stops. I have Jframe#1 with 3 textfields and a button, the textfields are not editable.

What i would like to do is have a reset button so when that is pushed it resets it so basically moves the picture back to its starting position. Yeah i have a JFrame and when i first open it, it shows nothing, but if i open it twice it does show everything. the button, when clicked, displays different/another form, jframe#2 with 3 textfield and another button.
